Rates of Physical Activity Among Adults by Race Black and Hispanic adults participate in vigorous activity less than white adults. Persons are categorized as vigorously physically active if they report 3 or more sessions per week of 20 min or greater duration of activity at an intensity equal to 50% or more of their age and gender specific maximum cardiorespiratory capacity.
